VIN Taiwan received a commemorative medal of honor on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the National Innovation Center and Innovate Vietnam 2024

Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 (Innovate Vietnam 2024) and the 5th anniversary of the National Innovation Center (NIC) officially opened on October 1, 2024, at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (Hanoi). This important event was organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, with the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, leaders of ministries, departments, central and local agencies, as well as representatives from research organizations, enterprises and investment funds at home and abroad.

In his opening speech, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung affirmed the achievements that NIC has achieved after 5 years of operation, including supporting more than 1,000 startups, connecting 1,500 innovative enterprises and establishing cooperative relationships with more than 200 investment funds. These results show that NIC is increasingly affirming its position, contributing to bringing Vietnam into the group of 44 leading countries in the global innovation index.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung delivered the opening speech at the event.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed the importance of innovation in national development in the new era, considering it a decisive factor in improving productivity and competitiveness of the economy. The Prime Minister also pointed out future strategic tasks, including perfecting institutions, investing in technological infrastructure, developing high-quality human resources and promoting international cooperation.

The event also marked the launch of the Vietnam Innovation Network in Canada and Singapore, bringing the total number of member networks to 10 worldwide, with more than 2,000 experts working in various fields. In addition, the event also honored individuals and organizations with outstanding contributions to the field of innovation. Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, Director of NIC Vu Quoc Huy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sovico Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, presented certificates and commemorative medals to 10 member networks.

Vietnam Innovation Network in US East Coast, Australia, US West Coast, Taiwan, Singapore, Europe, Korea, Germany, Japan, Canada received honorary medals from NIC.

In particular, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Le Quang Tuan, Assistant to the Director of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, who is also an Advisor to VIN Taiwan, and a commemorative medal to Mr. Vo Duc Thang, Chairman of VIN Taiwan, in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of innovation.
