On October 1-2, the National Innovation Center (NIC) will organize the Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi. The event not only marks the 5th anniversary of NIC but also brings together thousands of delegates from government agencies and leading domestic and international technology enterprises such as Meta, Nvidia, Samsung, Qualcomm, Viettel and FPT.
At the press conference announcing the program on September 9, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), said that this is an event connecting and gathering the subjects of the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem to recognize the results achieved in the past 5 years, honoring the contributions of the subjects to the development of the ecosystem.
Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc emphasized that the 5-year development process of NIC is a challenging and proud journey: “From the Ministry of Planning and Investment, we hope that the 5th anniversary of NIC is an opportunity for us to continue spreading the aspiration and determination for innovation to the business community and people, thereby arousing the creative potential, the will and aspiration for innovation to help Vietnam make a breakthrough, achieving the goal of rapid and sustainable development in the coming period”.
Event Highlights
This year’s event is expected to attract about 20,000 participants, including government leaders, representatives of ministries, international organizations and leading technology enterprises such as Meta, Nvidia, Samsung, Qualcomm, Viettel and FPT. The program will feature a series of in-depth seminars on artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors and career opportunities for the young generation, with the participation of many leaders from major technology corporations. Speakers will share new technology trends, opening up opportunities for connection between small, medium and large enterprises and investors.
In addition to the seminars, the event will also feature a technology hands-on experience area with about 100 booths showcasing breakthrough products and services in the fields of AI, semiconductors and green energy. This is a valuable opportunity for technology enthusiasts to explore and interact directly with the latest products.
The highlight of the event is the Better Choice Awards 2024 Gala to honor innovative values applied in practice and the Honor Ceremony to honor individuals and organizations with outstanding contributions to the development of the innovation ecosystem.
