(Source: MPI) – With the desire to form the National Innovation Network as an important source of knowledge contributing to innovation activities, connecting technology transfer, and promoting investment of foreign businesses into Vietnam and vice versa. On April 15, 2021, the Ministry of Planning and Investment organized a Workshop to Connect Vietnamese Young Knowledge in Taiwan in an online format. Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong chaired the workshop.
In 2018, the Ministry of Planning and Investment coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education and Training to establish the National Innovation Network. Initially, 100 young Vietnamese scientists and intellectuals in 14 countries were invited to discuss and meet with state leaders, governments, ministries, corporations, and localities. Up to now, the National Innovation Network has continued to develop in many countries such as Germany, Japan, and Australia with more than 1,000 members. From the need to connect domestically and internationally, the National Innovation Network continues to expand, in 2021 it is expected to be deployed in areas such as Taiwan, Korea, Canada, ...
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister Tran Duy Dong said that Vietnam is considered a potential and long-term investment destination. In the coming time, Vietnam will focus on attracting investment in technology and capital, especially projects with advanced technology and projects that apply the results of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Taiwan is a country with strengths in science and technology, especially in the fields of semiconductors where Vietnam can promote cooperation.
