The number of Vietnamese students in Taiwan is gradually increasing and has especially increased sharply in recent years. The total number of Vietnamese students was quite stable in 2019 and 2020 but increased more than 4 times compared to 5 years ago (2015).
After graduation, many Vietnamese alumni also want to stay in Taiwan to work. From 2004 to 2021, the number of Vietnamese people working professionally or in special technical fields: 9,508 times submitted applications, 8,528 times were licensed, 1,450 people had valid licenses as of November. /2021 (excluding lecturers working at universities since February 2018 - Licensed by the Ministry of Education). In 2020, the number of Vietnamese experts working in Taiwan ranked 9th (accounting for 3%).
The Vietnamese Student Association in Taiwan (VSATW) has also connected Vietnamese student associations (VSA) and Vietnamese students at universities across Taiwan. The connection network currently has 27 VSA and 2,500 affiliated students.
