On May 24, 2023, the Working Group of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) led by Mr. Mai Phan Dung, Vice Chairman, had a meeting to discuss with representatives of the student and intellectual community in Taiwan.
The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei. This shows the coordination between relevant agencies and units in implementing the Committee's activities as well as the attention of agencies and units to the Vietnamese community in Taiwan in general and Vietnamese intellectual community in Taiwan in particular.
Representatives from the Vietnamese Intellectual and Innovation Network in Taiwan (VIN Taiwan), the Vietnamese Student Association in Taiwan (VSATW) and the Vietnamese Student Alliance in Taiwan (T-VISA) had the opportunity to introduce their activities and achievements, and propose ideas and contributions to contribute to the development of the Vietnamese intellectual community in Taiwan.
Through this meeting, the Committee can receive information from the Vietnamese community in Taiwan, and provide support, advice and assistance in matters related to the rights and interests of Vietnamese community abroad. Both Mr. Mai Phan Dung and Mr. Vu Tien Dung highly appreciated the contributions of VIN Taiwan as well as VSATW and T-VISA in supporting students and young intellectuals in Taiwan. The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei will continue to support VIN Taiwan, VSATW and T-VISA in activities aimed at community benefits.
