VIHA – The first international scientific conference with the topic of smart therapies in kidney care - "Intelligent Renal Care"

On April 30, 2022, Viet International Health Alliance (VIHA) coordinated with Health Research Alliance (HRA), the Vietnamese Student Association at Taipei Medical University (VSA - TMU) and partners in Vietnam and Taiwan. Loan organized the first international scientific conference on smart kidney care, attracting more than 200 online and in-person participants.

Medical experts from Vietnam and Taiwan have made specialized reports on hemodialysis therapy, especially in the treatment of diabetic patients, precise techniques in dialysis, and nutritional care. for patients to receive kidney replacement therapy, new techniques, and artificial intelligence applied in the treatment of kidney problems. After two reporting sessions, attendees can interact directly with the speakers to better understand the presentation content.

VIHA was founded in 2021 by medical professionals studying abroad and still holding positions at hospitals and universities in Vietnam. VIHA aims to build a medical scientific research community, provide methodological support, and promote medical, technical and medical service cooperation between organizations in Vietnam and around the world, especially medical facilities in Taiwan. VIHA plans to organize an annual International Scientific Conference with the purpose of building a forum for partners to meet and exchange creative ideas and experiences related to smart health care.

Representative of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, Mr. Tran Van Thuy - Vice President, gave an opening speech and highly appreciated the workshop and VIHA's contributions in promoting the relationship. cooperation between scientists and medical experts from Vietnam and Taiwan.

During the plenary discussion, the speakers received many questions from colleagues related to nutrition in hemodialysis, management of patients on remote peritoneal dialysis, and issues related to dialysis. artificially in patients with diabetes. Discussions also aimed at potential cooperation between Taiwan and Vietnam on database building and artificial intelligence applications, to optimize patient treatment.

This is one of the first professional conferences with the goal of promoting bilateral cooperation in the medical field between Vietnam and Taiwan organized by Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Taiwan.
