Information about Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC)

Permanent residence card (APRC) is perhaps one of the concerns for foreigners who intend to stay in Taiwan long term. Some documents to prepare:

  1. APRC registration form: can be obtained from the Department of Immigration or downloaded from the website.
  2. 4 x 6 card photo: 1 photo.
  3. Passport: original and photocopy (both old and new passport used while in Taiwan), the original will be returned.
  4. Current residence card: original and photocopy, original will be returned.
  5. Personal income tax statement (Individual Income Tax Statement of the Republic of China) of the previous year: apply at the tax department when refunding or paying taxes. If declaring tax online, you can bring the tax notice to the tax department to apply. of this report, the immigration department will keep the original.
  1. Criminal record certificates (Criminal record certificates) for the last 5 years issued by the police agency: the immigration department keeps the original, keyword search information: Police Criminal Record Certificate + city of residence (Ex.   1. Degree: original and photocopy (highest degree), original will be returned.

Note:

  • TThe review period can last more than a month, so the old residence card needs to be valid from the time of application..
