On November 24, 2021, the Vietnamese Intellectual and Innovation Network in Taiwan (VIN Taiwan) officially held the Launching Ceremony at the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office (KT-VH) in Taipei with the participation of Mr. Tran Duy Dong - Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Chairman of the Vietnam Cultural and Economic Office in Taipei, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of the Innovation Center National Innovation (NIC).
With the support and direction of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei (VECO) and the National Innovation Center (NIC), VIN Taiwan has begun to organize connections, build networks and wake up.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung gave the opening speech, mentioning the potential of science and technology and the young Vietnamese intellectual community in Taiwan.
Mr. Vu Quoc Huy spoke to welcome VIN Taiwan as the sixth unit to participate in the Global Innovation Network of the National Innovation Center (Germany, Japan, Australia, Korea, Europe).
Mr. Tran Duy Dong highly appreciated the preparation and development of the Vietnamese Intellectual and Innovation Network in Taiwan recently. The Deputy Minister also spoke to direct and orient VIN Taiwan in promoting connections with Taiwanese businesses to support technology transfer, especially in building a technical business incubation zone in Hoa Binh province. At the same time, the network needs to promote connecting digital transformation experts to participate in activities to support businesses in digital transformation in the period 2021 - 2025, introducing businesses and corporations to participate in innovation exhibitions. Mr. Vo Duc Thang - Chairman of the Network for Innovation and Vietnamese Intellectuals in Taiwan, represented the representative to express his thanks and receive guidance from the deputy minister, NIC and VECO. VIN Taiwan will accompany component networks to gather Vietnamese intellectuals and experts around the world, participating in promoting science, technology and innovation activities in Vietnam.
After the launching ceremony, the VIN Taiwan Executive Committee had an orientation exchange with the Vietnam Cultural and Cultural Office in Taipei. VIN Taiwan expressed its desire to continue to receive support and direction from VECO in the future. VIN Taiwan also hopes to coordinate with units to promote the development of the Vietnamese community in Taiwan.
